About Katrina Dahl
Owner – Head Coach
To say I have had a love affair with netball the moment I touched a ball is probably an understatement. I can still remember the games I played as a junior on grass court’s, the manager running in at every quarter to give us oranges and my mum ( who was the coach ) encouraging us to be the best we could be but to also make sure we had fun doing it!
Playing netball as a young kid was such a wonderful memory of mine, and that love of the game brought me to where I am today, which is out and about everyday with the netball kids of the future.
I love coaching netball, that’s pretty obvious, but I believe in so much more than being able to coach a player to catch a ball, or shoot a goal. I believe in building confidence and passion in our young players, instilling a personal belief that they can do anything no matter what their skill or age level.
Everything we do at NetSpirit is all around embracing GIRL POWER, encouragement, motivation, passion for the game and pure supportiveness.

Darlene Karena Head Coach
Netball has been in my life since I was a baby, following my mum and aunties around the netball courts since I was in a pram. I began playing at the age of 5 years old, playing for school, club teams in New Zealand.
I played in various representative Teams in New Zealand and attended Netball NZ player camps in my younger years and represented New Zealand Maoris at the age of 14 years old.
I continue to play netball but my passion now is coaching, I coached through out high school and then moved to Representative Coaching when one of my daughters first played at the age of 11 years old, which was 7 years ago.
I made the move across the ditch in 2014 and quickly put my hand up to coach at our Netball Association for club and Representative Netball.
My satisfaction of coaching comes when I can see the growth of a player as a person, as a netballer and as a team member. It is important to recognise a player as a person – understand what motivates them – how do they learn and to for them to tune into their responsibility as an individual for their effort, reliability and respect.
